4. Sending out the same cut and paste promotional emails as everyone else.

The emails provided by the product creator are there as an example. As a successful affiliate marketer in the making, you should put the emails in your own words and inject your personality into them. Yes, it takes a few extra minutes, but you’ll be rewarded with a better relationship with your readers and more sales.

5. Spending their entire budget on Pay Per Click ads before they know what they’re doing.

PPC is something that requires education, practice and money you’re willing to lose while you go through the learning process. Fortunately, there are lots of free ways to drive traffic when you’re a beginner and when you’re ready for it, educational materials are widely available on PPC methods.

6. Picking a niche they’re not interested in.

It’s been said that you don’t have to have an interest in your niche, you can just outsource everything that needs to be written and you’ll do just fine. While that point of view does hold merit, most beginners do the work themselves rather than use outsourcing right off the bat. If you’re going to spend hours working in a niche, it will be a lot more fun if you have some interest in it.

7. Failing to build a list.

By capturing the email addresses of visitors to your site, you’ll have multiple opportunities to turn them into buyers when they don’t purchase the first time. And guess what? Most people DON’T buy the first time… they need a few reminders before pulling out their credit cards.
